James Valera is a photographer and filmmaker from San Diego. His work caught my eye when I saw him filming an event I was attending, to which I asked him... do you do this for real? With the loud music playing, ecstatic crowd, and surrounding high energy the conversation was only slightly heard, though it was enough. I dived in to reviewing James' content to come up with one sum answer... to take a chance. Interestingly enough, I learned MORE through reading LESS in this scenario, which is... well.. interesting. I did not have to understand the point of his content, because James has this way of bringing you exactly there with him. He has this ability to offer a glimpse into another world, not one different in construction than ours, though one looked at through a different lens. His work has a way of bringing you to the now, in present appreciation, by opening a door to look at the world through an artistic lens. James believes in rolling the dice, and creating SOMETHING out of whatever the current situation may be.
